For this LIA Team Project, we had to create a video that tells a story which focuses on narrative structure. My team chose to follow a 3-act story. It revolves around a student who struggles to complete an exam that causes him to question his life, the themes tapping into existential crisis and self-discovery with a touch of comedy.
We faced a few challenges when working on this project. It took me a while to try and piece together angles and shoot ideas that I could sketch in our storyboard. When actually recording video, I struggled to find the "best" compositions that fit the suspense, action and more, that would help my teammates film.
In the end, I pictured their story in my head and drew as many frames as possible that could be filmed. No matter how ridiculous it would be, I sketched and asked for feedback.
